The IBE gives students real-world experiences in running a business. That experience encompasses developing the organization, raising financing, and delivering a product or service. Students in the IBE will develop the skills necessary to start and manage a successful business. All profits of their efforts, combined with volunteer work, will be donated to a local charity.
Students who participate in the IBE will receive credit for three required core courses and a three-credit practicum.
FINA 362 Business Finance
MRKT 310 Principles of Marketing
MGMT 330 Principles of Management
Because of its nature, the IBE requires that students register for the all of the specially designated sections. Taking, for instance, just the practicum will not be approved.
