Are you currently doing research in addition to teaching?
I do this the other way around! As a practicing attorney in the civil area, I am always doing research of some sort, and teach at MSU in addition.
What led you to pursue teaching?
While attending one of my many classes in law school and maybe tuning out the professor a bit, I got one of those “I can and will do that” thoughts about teaching.
What has been your favorite teaching moment?
Nothing in particular; however, being a MSU alum, I take great pride in teaching at MSU and seeing students be successful.
When you were younger, what did you envision as your future profession?
After taking a business law course my senior year of high school, I decided that law was my niche and I would obtain a law degree.
Do you have any hobbies?
Oh yes! I have a passion (obsession) for slalom water skiing (my spring skiing begins with water temps of around 55 degrees and a wetsuit). I also love playing piano and other musical instruments, and running; biking; and weight lifting.
Do you have any family, friends, or pets that you share your home with?
My husband and I have four young and wonderful children. We enjoy many family activities together!
