F.A.Q

Does this count as course credit for me?
For all marketing majors and minors and international business majors and minors, this class will count as one of your elective courses. For other majors, you will have to check with your department to see if it will count for you.

Can I use financial aid to pay for the trip?
Yes. The Kearney International Center can help you with this.
See http://www.mnsu.edu/studyabroad/scholarships.html for more information.

Does the course run for the entire semester?
Yes. We will meet once a week throughout the entire semester.

Do I need to be a business major or minor?

No, the class is open to all majors. There are no prereq’s but you must be in sophomore standing (2nd year of school) and have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.

Is this a Gold course?
Yes! This class will count as a Gold class for the university requirements.

What if I miss the deadline for applications?
The reason that the deadline for applications is so far in advance is to make down payments and reservations. Often, flights have to be bought well in advance to secure seats and low prices (we want everyone on the same flight). So, once these reservations have been made, we cannot add anyone else. If you are interested in the class but the deadline has passed, contact Anaam Hashmi at anaam.hashmi@mnsu.edu.

What are the costs for the trip?
International Air: $1001
Land Package: $2,464
Meals: $150
Trip Total: $3,615

You may also want money for souvenirs and other incidentals.

Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes. It is very important that you commit to the trip because down payments and reservations must be made. Once these are purchased on your behalf, you are responsible for the amount. See below.

Deposit of $400 per student is Non-Refundable
Cancellation policy will be provided upon registration
